Overview


PathTracker Field is a cloud and mobile based work management app designed for small and medium sized businesses to keep track of field sales and service operations. 

Here are six different things you can do with PathTracker.


Get the latest version of app here:


1. Check-in at places


    Check-in at locations


  1. Click on Checkin from App menu. 
  2. Enter Check in remarks (for e.g. meeting with Mr David) and click on Checkin.
  3. A message Successfully checked in is displayed in the notification pane.

        Important Note:  GPS/location must be turned ON for check-in.




    View Check-in reports


  1. Click on the Calendar symbol in the floating menu
  2. Click on Select From to enter the Start Date
  3. Click on Select To to enter the End Date
  4. Click on Select to select a user name.
  5. Click on Show to view all Check-in listing
  6. Click on Download symbol in the floating menu to download a csv report.

2. Download Job Reports


Download report for Open Jobs


  1. Click on Open Jobs from App menu.
  2. From the floating menu at bottom right, click on download symbol next to reports.
  3. If there are multiple job types, select a job type for which report has to be downloaded
  4. Choose a spreadsheet app to view the report
  5. Save or share the report from the spreadsheet app.

Download reports for Completed Jobs

  1.  Click on Closed Jobs from App menu.
  2. Select the slider at the top of the page to select the month for report generation. Click on the button to the right of the slider
  3. All closed jobs for the month are now displayed.
  4. From the floating menu at bottom right, click on download symbol next to reports.
  5. If there are multiple job types, select a job type for which report has to be downloaded
  6. Choose a spreadsheet app to view the report
  7. Save or share the report from the spreadsheet app.

3. Configure email notification


Configure email notification for job completion

  1. Click on Configuration from App menu and select a job type. 
  2. Click on the job type for which email notification needs to be enabled
  3. Scroll down the job fields to find the Email on Completion setting
  4. Click on the button next to the Email on completion field.
  5. Select  a team member who should receive the email notification (e.g. manager)
  6. From floating menu, select save and save job type and email configuration

 

 Important note: If email configuration is enabled, email notification on completion is always sent to the user to whom the job is assigned




4. View job history


Search for previous jobs


It is possible to search and view all jobs by entering the first field value. For example, if the first field in job type is Customer name, you can view all jobs for a customer by entering the customer name.

  1.  Click on Search from App menu
  2.  Enter search string (for e.g. a customer name). A minimum of three characters need to be entered to perform a search
  3. All match jobs are displayed in the results window
  4. Click on any listing to view the job details


Duplicate a Job


A previous job can be duplicated instead of entering all details such as address. To copy a job,

  1.  Click on Search from App menu
  2.  Enter search string (for e.g. a customer name). A minimum of three characters need to be entered to perform a search
  3.  All match jobs are displayed in the results window
  4.  Click on Copy job button to the right of the job results. A new job form is displayed, with data copied from the previous job. 
  5.  Make necessary edits, assign to a team member and click on submit.




5. View Daily Notifications


Notification and updates


The notifications page displays all job status changes for the day. Click on any notification listing to view the job details.

For example, click on a completed notification to view details of the completed job 




6. Capture user location during job completion

         

        It is possible to capture user location when completing a job. This can be used to get precise location coordinates and address of customers.


       Note: Job fields cannot be updated when there are open jobs. Please complete or delete all open jobs before adding or updating job fields.

      

    Add field for live location capture


  1. Click on Configuration from App menu and select a job type. 
  2. Click on the job type for which location field needs to be added
  3. From Floating menu at bottom right, select NewField
  4. Click on the > symbol to the left of New field to show the field details.
  5. Enter a name for the field (e.g. completion location).
  6. Select Field Type as Location and mark the Mandatory check box.
  7. Click on Save to save the job type.
  8. Select the job type and click on Publish from the floating menu.
  9. The location field is now successfully added. To complete a job, user now needs to enable location. The location will be saved when user completes a job.
